Briar Heart — Overview

Full-grain. Pebbled. Oil-rich. Wax-charged. Briar Heart is a veg-re-tanned hide for makers who want texture & detail. Vac-dried for a clean flesh side and left honest — fat wrinkles, range marks, and heel scratches fully visible. Lighter sides show more of it's story.

This product is cut from C/D-grade rescued leather. What does that mean? They were made in a premium leather U.S. Tannery color run, only at the very end of production our leathers get graded as such.

    — we just refuse to treat them as “lesser.” They’re different: marked, worn, uncorrected, and honest.

Visible character is normal: fat wrinkles, range scars, wear patterns, and occasional defects. These hides are already widely used and sought by:
    • makers who lean into the character as-is, and makers who can carve out clean, low-mark panels when that’s their preference.
    • brands with worn, reliced, or distressed aesthetics
    • costume and film wardrobe departments
    • beginners looking for real leather without premium cost

If you need flawless, choose A/B grades. If you work with character-rich material, this is exactly what you expect.
    All sales are final.
